Dear Friends,

I’m keeping this website (which is now “ancient”) to let friends and guests know what’s happening with Elves Manor. While I’m honoring existing reservations, I’m no longer accepting new reservations for Elves Manor.

I hope you’ll consider reserving one or more of our fabulous apartments–all of which are in great neighborhoods in the City of St. Louis.

Thank you for your understanding and support! It has been a wonderful 10 years.

As a 21st-century “alley house”

Elves Manor continues the St. Louis tradition of a dwelling built at the rear of the lot line, behind the main house ~ the main house in this case being a 1904 Tudor Revival cottage located within the West Pine-Laclede National Register Historic District.Living room of Elves Manor Guest House

Elves Manor

consists of two stories and approximately 1,200 square feet of living space. The house sleeps up to six, with two bedrooms, two full baths, and a second-floor sitting room which houses a top-quality sleeper sofa–one that is worth sleeping on! Rates are based upon how many beds are in use. Included is coffee (if desired), a large selection of teas, and your choice of brownies or the Elves Manor signature dish: “Not Gooey Butter Cake.”

Constructed in 2001,

Elves Manor is available for nightly or weekly rentals and it’s all completely private. You have the entire house to yourself, with the exception of the basement garage, which has a separate entrance and which is used by the head elf for the storage of her gardening supplies and her family’s small fleet of bicycles.

Only two blocks west

of the main campus of St. Louis University and four blocks from the heart of the Central West End, Elves Manor is convenient to the best that St. Louis has to offer. Barnes Hospital and the Washington University Medical Center are just over a mile west, while the main Washington University campus is three miles away, on the west side of Forest ParkBusch StadiumCity Museum and the Gateway Arch are four miles directly east of the property.
